Grounded explores bereavement and the emotional experience of revisiting past memories. Captured on a Nikon OneTouch 100 35mm film camera from the 1990s — a camera that belonged to Mash’s late mother — the series uses the camera as a vessel to bridge past and present. These photographs honour the bereavement process, bringing long-forgotten moments back to life and creating space for reflection, healing, and connection through memory.
